Apartment Living Room Reveal

I've been meaning to share my apartment living room on the blog for quite some time now. I've been in this apartment for about a year. It's my first grown-up, I have an adult job and paycheck, apartment therefore it's big deal for me! I thought now that I'm moving it may be a good time to share my place before I pack it all up and move this weekend. Since starting graduate school I have been moving every year, at least twice a year, for the past three years. I wasn't sure where I was going to be therefore I rented fully furnished places in order to be mobile. Thankfully last year I landed a steady gig and was able to commit and get my own place.

I definitely took my time decorating my place and did not rush into things. All I had when I moved in was the brown swivel lounge chair and TV. It took me four months just to buy a coach! I had a vision for my living room and I took my time gathering the pieces. I have a mix of modern glam style with a touch of traditional. There is only so much one can do in a 700 square foot apartment however one thing that I did want to showcase was all the artwork I purchased from my travels. I also went with a calm and cool color scheme of grey, teal, and white. I really love the color combo and the rug pulled it all together.

I'm excited to move into my new place and start the decorating process all over again. I will share more on details on the move and all the exciting changes in a few weeks!!

Red Handbag

A classic red handbag is a closet staple every gal should have. I've had the J. Crew Edie Purse for a few years now and it's my absolute favorite. I suggest going for a classic and timeless bag that will last over the years. I've linked to a few red handbags below like, this one from Forever 21 is such a great deal!

Sharing my look from this past weekend in NYC. It was insanely hot and humid in the city this past weekend. I went for a laid back look with boyfriend jeans and my favorite sparkle white oxford! I added a pop of color with my favorite Stila liquid lipstick in Fiore. Honestly it is hands down the prettiest shade of hot pink! Every girl should have this color in their makeup bag. I like to layer it with MAC Girl About Town lipstick for the prettiest combo!

Isfahan Travel Diaries Part 2

Iran Travel Blog-Isfahan Travel Blog-Naqsh-e Jahan Square-Shah Mosque-Ali Qapu-Travel Blogger

Isfahan has a ton of wonderful sites to visit. We were only in town for about 36 hours and spent majority of our time at Naqsh-e Jahan Square. The square has many sites to visit such as Shah Mosque, Ali Qapu, and Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque as well as shopping at the grand bazaar! Today I'm sharing snaps from the Shah Mosque and Ali Qapu.

The Shah Mosque is absolutely beautiful! Upon entering the vast courtyard you become mesmerized by the structure and design. The dome and colorful tiles are my favorite part.

As a child my favorite visiting in Isfahan was Ali Qapu. Going back to visit this place was such a blast for me. Ali Qapu is a grand palace that was built in stages which spanned about seventy years. The grandest part of the palace is the music hall on the sixth floor. I personally fell in love with the colorfully tiles stairs - makes for a great #shoefie

Isfahan is such a lovely place to visit and I consider it one of quintessential Iranian cities that you need to travel to if you are traveling through Iran. Everything from the sites, cuisine, people, history, and shopping is wonderful!

Leopard Flats & Bucket Bags

Leopard Flats & Bucket Bags-Transitioning to Fall-Fashion Blog-Sam Edelman Felicia Flat-Bucket Bag

Summer is sadly winding down and fall is just around the corner. Now it may be too early to bust out the fall sweaters just yet however it's definitely time to transition to fall with accessories and shoes! The bucket bag is definitely a fall essential for me, see previous styled posts here, here, and here. I'm honestly saving my pennies for my dream Mansur Gavriel bucket bag! There are a ton of affordable options that are as adorable and don't come with a heft price tag. I'm loving this pink mini bag and this pretty grey one which happens to be on sale!

Another favorite trend of mine for transitioning to fall is leopard flats! I've had my pair of Sam Edelman leopard flats for almost 2 years! They are extremely comfortable! I wear them to work, when I travel, to run errands etc. I'm currently debating on getting a pair in the nude color since I love them so much. The leopard flats are a classic and will never go out of style. I suggest a classic ballet or a loafer to begin with. If you love the leopard trend definitely invest in a fabulous heel as well!

I've linked to a few of my favorite bucket bags and leopard flats that will surely be a fall closet favorite and on constant repeat!

Iran Packing Guide | Summer Edition

Packing for a trip to Iran used to be a nightmare for me. It's the one place I travel to that I have no control over my day to day activities. On other trips I generally have an itinerary planned out with the activities I will be doing and from there I know what to pack and how to dress. This is not the case when I travel to Iran therefore it makes it a bit more complicated to back efficiently for a two week trip. However I have managed to create an organized system to pack efficiently for my trip and leave room in my bags to stock up on goodies for the way back!

Today I'm sharing my method on packing for a summer trip to Iran. Now full disclosure this trip was mainly for my sister's wedding therefore I had 2 evening gowns, heels, and boatload of MAC makeup I had to take with me. Sadly I was not able to take many pictures the day of the wedding in my Maid of Honor dress but I was able to snap pictures for the second event, see here. I managed to save room in my suitcase by wearing the same heels for both events which was perfect because I only wore the heels for those two events and for nothing else!

As a general rule I stick to 3 pairs of shoes; tennis shoes, sandals, and dressy wedges. In Iran women have to abide by a dress code of wearing "manto" which is basically equivalent to a tunic, trench, or duster that is at least knee length. The styles always change and hemlines have become a little shorter and less restrictive. I always follow The Tehran Times Instagram to stay up to date with the latest fashion. This time around dusters were still in therefore I packed about 4-5 various colors and styles on my trip. I picked this white one from White House Black Market the day before my trip and absolutely loved it! In addition I ordered this lightweight cardi/coat one from H&M in green. In addition I anticipated high temps and hot weather therefore I packed these cotton scarves from Vela to keep cool - best.idea.ever. I couldn't stand wearing any other type of scarf while sightseeing and running errands. I also picked up a few new scarves while I was in Tehran from my favorite shops.

In the handbag department I packed two bags - this tote and this Kate Spade satchel. The tote was perfect for my trip! It's extremely roomy and I was able to fit just about everything I needed. The satchel was my going out bag that I used occasionally for fancier occasions. Majority of the time I had my tote on me because I could fit my camera, water, extra pair of shoes, etc.

I hope this posts helps with packing tips. If you have any questions or comments feel free to reach out!

During my trip to Iran, my family and I managed to escape to Isfahan for a quick trip thanks to my sister and brother-in-law planning it all. I was super excited for this trip because the last time I was in Isfahan I was 12 years old! Therefore it was definitely a trip down memory lane for me.

We stayed at the Abbasi Hotel which was absolutely stunning. We got into Isfana early in the morning. After checking in to the hotel we walked over to Naqsh-e Jahan Square and had breakfast at Azadegan CafeThe first sight we visited was the beautiful Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque. I'm obsessed with the design of the dome and all the colorful blue tiles. The mosque is pretty simple in design compared to Shah Mosque, which I personally really like! Pictures don't do justice for this beautiful architectural space. Since we were there bright and early I was lucky to snap photos without any crowds and capture the beautiful lightening of the space. When traveling to Isfahan this mosque should definitely be on your list to visit.

Thanks for stopping by!
