Iran - Day 4

Friday we left Amol to head to Tehran.

I should mention that we got absolutely no sleep the night before thanks to all the shenanigans that went on. We got home from the concert around 1 am however we didn't go to sleep until 5 in the morning. The kids were giggling and making fun of the moms, the moms were scolding us to be quite because if my grandfather woke up we would kick us all out - not really but maybe. We laughed so much that night it was ridiculous.

Our driver came at 7am and it is safe to say we all felt like crap in the morning. It was so hard saying goodbye to my aunts, uncles, and cousins. I love them all so dearly and I wish I could see them on a regular basis.

Once we arrived in Tehran we got ready to head to lunch. We were invited out to lunch by our extended family to a Lebanese restaurant. Want to know why they are our extended family? Well the person that invited us is my mom's cousin's daughter's son. Confused enough?! Yeah. All I know is we are related to each other and they are amazing.

For the life of me I can't remember the name of the restaurant. The food was delicious - but it was not real Lebanese food. I've been to enough amazing Lebanese restaurants in Dearborn to know. However it was great seeing our extended family and spending time with them.
